Vene 19 Båt Boats of the Show chosen

The Show’s Boats for the 2019 Helsinki International Boat Show were chosen for the 21st time from the new boats on display. This year the Outboard Motorboat of the Show is the Brabus Shadow 500, the Day Cruiser of the Show is the Nimbus C9, and the Cabin Cruiser of the Show is the Marex 360 Cabriolet Cruiser. The winners were chosen from the three finalists of each category. The Boats of the Show were announced on Wednesday 13 February at the 2019 Helsinki International Boat Show.
Special attention was paid to novelty value.

In addition design, build, and space utilization ideas, functionality of the rooms and ergonomics, price-quality and suitability for the intended use. The accolades of the Best Boat of the Show seek to advance the boating industry's development and give credit to companies for successful product development.
The jury selecting the Boats of the Show described the winning boats as follows:

The Outboard Motorboat of the Show Brabus Shadow 500 is a fine example of how an international luxury brand appreciates Finnish boat design. The boat is the result of collaboration between the Finnish company Axopar and the German luxury brand Brabus, which brings a breath of the glamour of the wider world. Brabus is versatile in tailoring, thus fulfilling the future trend of ever more individual boats.

The Open Motorboat of the Show Nimbus C9 is a modern multipurpose boat that is highly suitable for boating in the Nordic countries. This stylish boat has clear deck spaces and wide sliding doors for ease of access. The quality of the craftsmanship is excellent. The wooden mouldings bring a cosy touch to the decor, and the reinforced plastic surfaces are easy to clean and durable. A large bow hatch facilitates loading and a wide and reasonable speed range allows for versatile use.

The Cabin Cruiser of the Show is the Marex 360 Cabriolet Cruiser, which features the expertise for which the brand is renowned as well as the latest innovations. The canopy system consisting of a twin soft top sunroofs and a curtain-like side wrap around is a clever and intriguing solution. The Marex quickly converts from a covered to an open boat, which means it is perfect for use in both rain and sunshine. The roomy galley is a class of its own, offering numerous new solutions. Visibility from the cockpit to the seating area is excellent. The boat is equipped with a 400-watt roof solar panel.

Over 500 new boats are presented this year at the International Helsinki Boat Show. From these, the preliminary jury consisting of editors of boating magazines chose the finalists for the Boats of the Show. The choice of winners was made by the jury that included Max Johansson from Eurofins Expert Services, Juhani Pappila from Traficom, Venemestari magazine’s and Totalvene.fi’s editor-in-chief Jan Sjölund, Vene magazine’s editor Tomi Peurakoski and Kippari magazine’s reporter Karel Kakko.
