Messukeskus presents the popular Child Fair as a virtual event as well

Messukeskus Helsinki, the largest event organiser in Finland, has not been idle during the corona spring, but will support its clients with new digital solutions in this challenging situation. The Child Fair, one of the most popular public events in Finland, will open as a virtual event 13 -17 May and Messukeskus will double-quick present even other digital products alongside live encounters.

Messukeskus’ quick reaction in a challenging situation has received positive feedback from exhibitors participating in the Child Fair and other events arranged simultaneously, who are currently waiting for the live event which is rescheduled to August.

-Last year we had over 60 000 visitors at the Child Fair and now the same group is invited to experience the exhibition with special offers and programs on the web. We market the web exhibition for instance on Child Fair Facebook and in fair club newsletters which reach tens of thousands event fans, says Child Fair Sales Group Manager Anna Suominen.

Messukeskus: ”Quick new solutions to support business clients”

Messukeskus has reacted to the corona situation quickly. First we rescheduled the events and then we have focused on seeking new solutions to support our 10 000 business clients.

The world moves towards digital solutions, but events are still needed and wanted. On the web you cannot experience the hype of a public event that welds together people that turn on same things. There are products that you have to feel and test yourself. It is however possible to expand the event experience to become year-round with digital solutions.

-Messukeskus acts as a business accelerator for our clients and we now want to create new solutions alongside live events, where consumers can meet and constantly be surprised. As a virtual event Child Fair is the first, quickly organized solution, says Messukeskus’ Marketing and Communications Director Maria Mroue.

-Last year we had 1.1 million visitors at our events. The same audience are fans of their favorite events on the social media and in exhibition clubs. We know the Finns’ passions and we are able to mix the largest and most talked about events in Finland with effective digital services, Mroue says.

Messukeskus wants to involve fresh technological solutions and growth flaming platforms as digital partners. A good example could be seen at the latest Habitare exhibition, where exhibition architecture was spiced with augmented reality with the help of an Arilyn application.
