Habitare postponed until November 2020
The interior decoration and design event Habitare, planned to be held in September, will be rescheduled for November this year. The new dates are from 25 to 29 November 2020. The postponement until later in the autumn will enable us to deliver the event to a high standard, together with our customers and partners.
The past spring has drastically changed the plans of many event organisers, and events in the design industry both in Finland and internationally have revised their schedules. A decision has been made to postpone Habitare, Finland’s leading interior decoration, design and furniture event, originally planned to be held in September, until November. The new dates are from 25 to 29 November 2020. The postponement enables the event to be delivered to a high standard, and gives more leeway, especially for exhibitor companies, in terms of arrangement schedules.
“Delivering a high-quality Habitare requires a great deal of preparation and planning from us and the entire industry. In the changed situation, Habitare’s original date in mid-September seemed to be approaching too quickly. After discussions with actors in the industry, we concluded that postponing the event ensures better opportunities to deliver a high-quality international event”, says the sales group manager Lumia Ankkuri at Messukeskus.
50-year-old Habitare supports end-of-year seasonal trade
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Habitare will nicely kick off the end-of-year seasonal trade at the end of November. Habitare will also be supported by its enhanced online presence, which will present and dig deeper into event themes and content, and introduce exhibitors.
“I am very happy that we can deliver Habitare in the event’s jubilee year and provide visitors with high-quality content”, says the creative director of Habitare, Laura Sarvilinna.
Habitare exhibitors can automatically participate in the event at the rescheduled date. Visitors who have purchased a ticket will be sent a new ticket closer to the new date of the event, and if they so wish, they can also use their ticket at another event to be held at Messukeskus in the autumn of 2020.
A customer survey by the Association of Trade Fair and Event Organisers in Finland: 74% of respondents would like to go to a fair immediately
Events seem to be in high demand, as in a recent customer survey conducted in the trade fair sector, 74% of the respondents said that they wanted to visit a fair as soon as an event of interest to them is held again. More than 8,000 Finns responded to the survey, which was conducted at the beginning of June. View the results in more detail.

Habitare
