COVID-19 passport in use at Messukeskus as of December 4, 2021

Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre will apply the COVID-19 passport as an alternative to restrictions as of December 4, 2021. The use of the COVID-19 passport will continue even after the turn of the year.

Messukeskus will apply the COVID-19 passport in all its facilities and events. The COVID-19 passport will be checked from persons over 16 years while entering the building.

The Regional State Administrative Agency of Southern Finland has decided to tighten the restrictions imposed on public events and public facilities. According to the current instructions, the restrictions are valid during the period December 4 - 31, 2021 and concern all public events and meetings with over 20 participants.

Messukeskus will continue to use the COVID-19 passport even after January 1, 2022. The use of the COVID-19 passport is possible in Messukeskus even in the future, based on the restrictions imposed on restaurant facilities serving alcoholic beverages.

-The COVID-19 passport revokes the restrictions and makes it possible to organize fairs and other events in full scale and to use all facilities as usual. In this way we ensure a safe event experience for all our customers and can continue preparations for our spring programme with full force, says CEO Anni Verpsäläinen of Messukeskus.

Instructions for the use of COVID-19 passport at Messukeskus

The COVID-19 passport can be downloaded from My Kanta (kanta.fi). Please also be prepared to prove your identity with a photo ID card. The QR-code of the COVID-19 passport will be scanned at the entrance either from the phone screen or on print. The application used for scanning does not gather or save health information on the visitors.

Customers that organize own events at Messukeskus should inform participants of their own events about the current COVID-19 passport instructions.

Messukeskus will continue to monitor closely the instructions of authorities and invests firmly and proactively in safety at its events. It is recommended to attend events only completely healthy and without symptoms. Additionally, we recommend that you wear a face mask at Messukeskus.

Enhanced hygiene, spacious corridors and premises provide an excellent starting point for safe participation. Messukeskus was the first Nordic event house to receive COVID-19 certification in recognition of exemplary work for COVID-19 safety.
