VENE 25 BÅT SHOW HIGHLIGHTS INNOVATIONS FROM DAME DESIGN AWARDS
Boating equipment and accessories consistently rank among the most popular categories for boating enthusiasts, and the Vene 25 Båt Show offers a broad and varied selection to discover. This year, an exhibition showcasing the award-winning innovations from the DAME Design Awards, held at the METSTRADE Show, will also be featured. The Helsinki International Boat Show, Vene 25 Båt, will take place from February 7–16, 2025, at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
At the boat show, boating accessories and equipment are showcased in Hall 3. Here, visitors will find a wide range of marine electronics, navigation equipment, electrical and heating systems, electronic products, clothing, footwear, and boating accessories—everything needed for a successful boating experience.
"There are many great deals on boating accessories and equipment at the boat show. This year, we have encouraged companies to post information about their products on the event's website under the 'News and Offers' section. The pages are now live and are continuously updated. Products can be viewed by category. The boating industry is innovative, continually developing both boats and related products. For the first time at the Helsinki Boat Show, there will be an exhibition featuring products awarded in the DAME Design Awards competition. Many of these products are also showcased at various stands during the event," says Risto Wuolle, Sales Manager at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
The DAME Design Awards exhibition highlights innovations
Eight innovative products that won their respective categories in the DAME Design Awards competition will be showcased at the Vene 25 Båt Show.
The DAME Design Awards are part of METSTRADE, the world’s largest event for professionals in the marine industry, held annually in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The event primarily showcases boating accessories, equipment, and services. Established in 1991, the competition focuses on innovations in boating equipment. The DAME Design Awards emphasize the importance of holistic design in product development—spanning aesthetics and functionality to integration, packaging solutions, cost efficiency, and sustainable lifecycle management.
In 2024, 114 entries from 28 countries participated in the DAME Design Awards competition. The jury selected a total of 58 products for the DAME Design Awards exhibition, which advanced to the competition's final evaluation round. One winner was chosen in each of the eight categories, and these winners have been invited to the Vene 25 Båt Show. Among the category winners, an overall winner for the competition was also selected. Additionally, the jury awarded nine honorable mentions and recognized two winners in the environmental category of the DAME Design Awards.

The Helsinki International Boat Show, Vene 25 Båt, will take place from February 7–16, 2025, at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The event, the largest boating exhibition in the Nordic region, is organized by the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on behalf of the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat. In 2025, the event's sustainability partner is the John Nurminen Foundation. For the first time, the Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair will be held at the same time as the show's opening weekend, February 7–9, 2025.
