Pitch Finland Cyber Security: renewed Cybersecurity competition now open

Pitch Finland Cyber Security competition is being launched in conjunction with the Cyber Security Nordic event, featuring a new dimension of collaboration with FiBAN (Finnish Business Angels Network). The competition seeks innovative solutions or services with international growth potential that contribute to the development and expansion of the cybersecurity industry.

Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, in collaboration with FISC and FiBAN, is organising Pitch Finland Cyber Security, a competition searching for pioneering solutions with the potential for international growth. The competition is open to cybersecurity companies, teams, and organisations. The final round of the competition will take place as a pitching contest at the Cyber Security Nordic event on 29–30 October 2024.

The finalists will have an opportunity to present their ideas to investors from the Finnish Business Angel Network. Additionally, a Finnish-registered company or organisation will be awarded a €10,000 prize, donated by the Finnish Fair Foundation.

“The cybersecurity sector is of immense importance from the perspectives of the state, businesses, and private individuals. It is a global challenge that is highly relevant and attractive to investors. We hope that companies and investors will join this initiative with confidence,” says Tiina Laisi-Puheloinen, CEO of FiBAN.

Cyber Security Nordic, the most significant event in the cybersecurity field in the Nordics, is organised in collaboration with FISC (Finnish Security Cluster). Peter Sund, CEO of FISC, views FiBAN’s involvement as a significant opportunity for growth companies in the cybersecurity sector, offering new and considerably broader funding possibilities.

Anssi Rajala, Business Manager of the Cyber Security Nordic event, believes that the competition’s new format will further enhance the event’s multidimensionality.

The competition jury will select the companies advancing to the final by the end of September. The products or services under consideration must be available for sale in 2024 or launched at the Cyber Security Nordic event.

Finalists will present their products or services at Cyber Security Nordic on 29 October 2024 on the Gold Stage from 11:25 to 11:55, after which the jury will select the winner. The winner will be announced on the Stage One platform the same day at 16:15. Additionally, the finalist registered in Finland will receive a €10,000 prize from the Finnish Fair Foundation.
