Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair is arranged in February in connection with Helsinki International Boat Show

The Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair will be held for the first time alongside the Helsinki International Boat Show on the first weekend on 7-9 February 2025 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair will showcase hiking and hunting, while fishing and water sports will remain at the Boat Show, which will take place on 7-16 February 2025.

The Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair and the International Outdoor & Hunting Fair held in Riihimäki are sister events.

In November, the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre announced that the International Outdoor & Hunting Fair which is held in Riihimäki will be organized by Expomark Oy. Although the organizing company is changing, Ninni Manninen, the fair director of the International Outdoor & Hunting Fair, will continue her work with the event, which is held every other year in June in Riihimäki. Manninen will also play a significant role in organizing the Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair and will be responsible for its content and sales. "Organizing the Fair in Helsinki is a new opportunity. I have been in contact with the key companies in the field, and everyone has shown great interest. The simultaneous occurrence with the boat show brings a lot of added value to the event, as many hunters and hikers are also boaters. Fishing is prominently featured at the boat show, which is a good thing," says Manninen.

The Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair will offer program on hiking and hunting, with companies representing these areas showcasing their products and services. The event will not be a copy of the Fair arranged in Riihimäki, although it will continue the story of the Outdoor & Hunting Fair and be part of the event chain.

The Riihimäki-based family company Joutsen Finland Oy participated in the International Outdoor & Hunting Fair in Riihimäki and believes that the event in Helsinki will bring a new perspective. "The simultaneity with the boat show brings us closer to a target audience that is still somewhat unfamiliar to us but very interesting, as boaters use a lot of down jackets and bedding. Joutsen's down products are versatile and responsible choices. We want to offer products that suit many purposes - for hikes, boats, cottages, and home sofas. The down poncho launched last summer is great for warming up on the boat deck or by the campfire," says Katja Helén, head of fashion business at Joutsen Finland Oy. "Actually, we want people to buy less but high-quality, versatile, and durable products."

The hunting and outdoor activity pioneer Sako Finland will showcased hunting and sports shooting products from the Sako, Tikka, and Beretta brands at the International Outdoor & Hunting Fair in Riihimäki. For the Helsinki, Sako plans to participate through its retailer Ruoto. "The timing of the Fair is excellent in February. There are no other industry events at that time. It's easy to access the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, and the event is always sheltered from the weather indoors," says Jukka Ketola, Country Manager of Sako Oy.

The Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre will organize the Helsinki Outdoor & Hunting Fair for the first time on 7-9 February 2025 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. At the same time, the Helsinki International Boat Show Vene 25 Båt will take place on 7-16 February 2025. Both events can be visited with the same tickets.
