Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s restaurant services awarded The EcoCompass environmental certificate

Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s restaurant services have been awarded The EcoCompass environmental certificate. The certificate is awarded for good environmental work and underlines Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s commitment to responsible and sustainable operations.

Restaurant services play a key role in shaping the customer experience at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. With this certification, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre restaurants will continue develop and implement environmentally friendly practices, benefitting both customers and the environment.

” Environmental responsibility is an important value for us and The EcoCompass certificate is an important step in our environmental work at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. We are committed to providing our customers with high quality services that are also environmentally sustainable,” says Marcus Bergström Business Director at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

The EcoCompass certificate is awarded to organisations that meet stringent environmental requirements and are committed to continuous improvement in environmental matters. Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s partner in restaurant and catering services is NoHo Partners.

” The domestic EcoCompass certificate makes all the work we have done to promote environmental issues visible. At big events, for example, we sell products at half price during the last hour, so they don’t go to waste. Our work supporting sustainability will continue and we will regularly report on our activities in accordance with the requirements of the certificate,” says Toni Niemi Director of Operations at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre’s Restaurant and Event Catering.

The restaurant complex at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre comprises a total of 21 restaurants and cafés. For more information about the complex please visit https://www.messukeskusrestaurants.fi/

Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre continues its long-term sustainability work in cooperation with its partners and customers. Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre received the ISO 14001 environmental management certificate for its events as the first event organiser in Finland.
