Cyber Security Nordic, scheduled for October, postponed until autumn 2021
Originally planned to be held in October 2020, the Cyber Security Nordic event for cybersecurity professionals has been rescheduled for next year. The event will be held at Messukeskus Helsinki, Expo and Convention Centre from 6 to 7 October 2021.
The coronavirus pandemic this spring has drastically changed the plans of many event organisers. A decision has been made, together with exhibitors and parties involved in the programme, to postpone the Cyber Security Nordic event, originally scheduled for October, until next year, in order to ensure the success of this international event.
“The arrangements for such a large international event involve a huge amount of advance work from us and our customers. Therefore, the final decision on whether to go ahead with the event had to be made in early June at the latest. In the light of current information and restrictions, we have to postpone our Cyber Security Nordic event, with its strong international orientation, from October 2020 to next year. In consideration of international travel restrictions, we are unable to guarantee that the international speakers and cybersecurity experts from the United States, for example, can make it to the event”, says the sales group manager Riikka Telin.
During this spring’s coronavirus pandemic, Messukeskus has, alongside live events, developed solutions for meeting consumers online.
“During spring, Messukeskus accumulated valuable experience in organising events online. We are currently exploring the possibility of making some of the content of the Cyber Security Nordic event available online, and we hope to be able to say more about this as soon as possible”, Telin adds.
