Introducing the incredible Hanne Lindroos, Messukeskus Sustainability Manager! HL is a true team player, passionately dedicated to making the world a better place. She’s the type of person who puts her entire expertise and enthusiasm into action for the benefit of our clients and the entire exhibition business.

“Sustainability is action for us,” says Hanne. At Messukeskus, energy efficiency, recycling, and social responsibility are not just words; they are everyday practices backed by certified expertise.

With a background in hospitality management and an eMBA in Service Excellence, Hanne is not just passionate about sustainability—she knows her stuff. She advances sustainability by promoting best practices, metrics, and reporting. Her expertise and enthusiasm inspire both our clients and our team. As a sustainability maestro, she makes responsible actions look so cool that everyone wants to join in!

Messukeskus has a solid track record: ISO 14001 certification in 2009, climate partnership with the City of Helsinki, commitment to the Glasgow Climate Declaration, and the Sustainable Travel Finland label. We also support the employment of people with special needs, provide food aid, and collaborate with UNICEF Finland. Our hotel boasts the Nordic Swan Ecolabel and even has its own solar power plant on the roof.

From the rooftop to the office: last August, Hanne challenged our office staff to cut our paper cup usage in half. And we did it! Our kitchen is now filled with personal coffee mugs featuring everything from The Simpsons to HIFK, Moomins, Friends Forever, World’s Best Mom and Star Wars.
