MEDIA ACCREDITATION: Helsinki Chemicals Forum conference 27-28 April 2021

To Members of the Press

Welcome to The Helsinki Chemicals Forum conference taking place on 27 and 28 April 2021 –  this time virtually. The event brings together online policy makers and experts representing all stakeholders in chemicals regulation from all over the world.

This year, due to the pandemic, the Helsinki Chemicals Forum 2021 conference will be organized as a virtual event instead of a physical one, which will make it easier for participants from all over the world to participate.

As before, the programme of HCF 2021 is built around keynote introductory speeches and five discussion panels. In total 35 top class speakers from EU and third countries will take part in the debates. The five topics that are relevant to all practitioners of chemicals regulation are the forthcoming fifth session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management, green chemicals policy, transparency & risk communication, safer substitution and spotlight on textiles. Respectively UNEP, the European Commission, ECHA, OECD and Chemical Watch will moderate these panels.

The timing of the programme of the Forum has been modified to be more suitable for global participation. On each of the two days the conference is scheduled from 1 to 6 p.m. (EET). Registration of participants for the Forum will open soon. The language of the conference is English.

Participation is free for media representatives but requires prior accreditation for the event.

Please send your accreditation information by email to Ms Tarja Gordienko (tarja.gordienko@messukeskus.com) by the end of March. Your accreditation information should include:

  • your name, email address and direct phone number
  • link to the media you represent or, in case you work as a freelance journalist, a few links to your recent articles and/or blogs

The accreditation gives you access to the entire program. We will send further information and a free link to the Forum for all accredited participants in the beginning of April. Accredited journalists will be kindly asked to help promote the event and report on the outcome.

Welcome to the front row at the most interesting online event of the moment!
